The money received from the payment of tolls is used to pay back the loans taken out to pay for the construction of the motorway, to cover the motorway operational costs and to finance the maintenance and upgrading of the infrastructure as the Rouen Alençon A28 motorway, opened in 2005, requires significant resurfacing and maintenance work.
