Close to Ferrière-sur-Risle, a charming village nestled among the river valley cliffs, the Château of Beaumesnil stands resplendent in its natural setting. Built at the beginning of the 17th century, this masterpiece of the Louis XIII style, surrounded by a moat, has its façade reflected off the water of the pools of the formal garden that surrounds it. 80 hectares of parkland completes the estate. In addition to the originality of its baroque style, this exceptional monument, magnificently decorated and furnished, possesses an impressive library. There is a unique exhibition dedicated to book binding.
Each year, the "Festival of the 1001 vegetables" takes place at the Beaumesnil kitchen garden. You will visit the garden, discover 500 ancient or unusual varieties of vegetables, learn gardening tips, taste and exchange new recipes, meet local growers, attend conferences and exhibitions. Activities for children are planned too.
